Hey Valentine, you’re all that and a bag of chips!
I maaaay have procrastinated a bit on getting valentines ready for my kiddos, but we pulled it off with 3 simple, smarter-not-harder ideas.
First up: Valentines! Got to the store too late for the good valentines and candy? No worries! Pick up a variety pack of chips and get down to a little punny business. This definitely isn’t my original idea, but my boys really liked it. Need a free printable? Sharing is caring, you’re welcome to have mine.
Next: Snacks! I signed up for “healthy snacks” for my Kindergartener’s class. We kept it cheap and easy by adding stickers and smiles to a bunch of bananas.
Last up: A valentine box! My 3rd grader isn’t really into the mushy-gushy valentines, but he sure loves football! We transformed an oatmeal canister into a goal post in just a couple easy steps:
Cut a valentine-sized hole in the lid.
Cover the canister with yellow paper.
Cut a small strip of “grass” using green paper.
Cut goalpost arms and attach to canister using tape or glue.
Add football through the uprights!
Watch it come together in a flash here.
Happy Valentine’s Day! May it be full of all the things you love!
