The Babysitter Bible
Heading out of town and leaving your kids with their grandparents for a week? Or maybe you are heading out on a date night and not sure what to leave the babysitter. Tired of writing the same note to your childcare provider every time you leave?
You need a Babysitter Bible!
And guess what! I have one for you.
Years ago, Matt and I went on an incredible trip to Alaska to not just see the sights, but also see one of my very best friends marry her very best friend. Before leaving our tiny kids at home with our parents, I put together this exhaustive information packet that I lovingly named The Babysitter Bible. It was a ton of work to put together, but has been so helpful to pull out again and again, whether we’re leaving the state or just for a date. (#poetry)
I thought you might find it helpful – so I’ve deleted (most of) my information and uploaded it to my freebies page.
In it you’ll find:
a place to add emergency phone numbers, the number for your pediatrician and other helpful numbers.
A section for explaining how to use the different appliances in your home:
A section explaining the routines that your children follow each day
An index for listing tools and supplies a helper may be looking for in your home
A space for leaving notes
I laminate this first page so I can write on it with dry erase maker for each individual sitter. If you don’t have a laminator, you can use a page protector or simply print off several copies to have on hand. At the bottom I include our Wifi name and password. This would also be a great place to inform your care provider of any allergies or sensitivities.
The whole thing is editable and free for you to use! Grab it here – and if you use it, please let me know if it was helpful!
